Jackie has been playing violin since she was 5 years old. She grew up surrounded by music and was performing on stages very soon after she started lessons. Every Sunday of her childhood was spent singing and playing violin for Sunday mass, often improvising along with the choir. Though she is a classically trained violinist with a Grade 10 RCM, she went rogue at some point and absolutely loves to fiddle! Jackie has played in multiple orchestras and ensembles over the years, including the Toronto Symphony Youth Orchestra, the Oakville Symphony, The Oakville Chamber Orchestra, Symphony on the Bay and the Ceilidh Fiddlers. Always looking for a challenge, she also picked up guitar and piano and loves to experiment with other instruments and sounds.
Lately, Jackie has been experimenting with a variety of genres and has been composing her own music while also collaborating with other musicians in the GTA. Check out her upcoming performances for a chance to catch her in action!
